Misha -- Now Foxy Lady

Posted by Patricia Thompson on Sunday, August 22, 2010,
July 7, 2010

We just adopted Misha on Wednesday afternoon. She is very sweet and quiet. She has already been to the vet and she checked out fine. We were really interested in also adopting Skylar 10-d06-178. If she becomes available again we would really like her. Please keep our name on the list for this little sweetie. Our fingers are crossed. We would like for Misha, who is now known as Foxy Lady to have a playmate, since she is so shy. I have attached a photo of her in her new yard. ...

Trixie -- now Abla

August 6, 2010

Thank you so much, Anne.  And today I was going to email you to let you know how happy we are with Trixie, who is now named Abla, Arabic for the oriental version of Juliet, of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.  It is a name my husband loved and, I'm sure, would have given her had he been here.

I think I had a feeling that she and I were meant to be.  And I am very grateful to you and to Amber and Tiffany for "supporting" me during what seemed like an infinite period (only ...

Eldo

August 5, 2010

Eldo is delightful.  He is energetic, doesn't bark much, and hasn't met a person he doesn't like.  He is also a lap snuggler.

Eldo also loves to play with other dogs, including Sarah's Sabbath and my paralegal's little chihuahua mix.  This is new for me since all my other dogs didn't play.  It is so much fun to watch, especially how they accommodate to size differences.

We're still working on the potty thing, so Eldo wears a belly band indoors, but we're making progress in ...

May 24, 2010

I am loving my new baby.  My Giant Schnauzer has been a little slow to warm up, but we are making great progress.  Jerry seems very content, is eating well, and does not show any signs of stress.  I will get him in to the vet for a well check-up this week.  Thanks.

April 5, 2010

To all of you who loved and cared for Lotto, just wanted to update you on his progress...
He is now a proud new member of the McGregor family. He was put on new meds and food and his allergies have cleared. He is happy and healthy and his new mom,Molly says that Lotto has been the best thing to happen to her in years. He bonded instantly to Molly and has been at her side day and night ever since he arrived.
Don't know if Lauren Moore told you, but Molly's husband just died on...

Thank you so very much for all you are doing for these precious animals.  May that bring you joy and peace in your heart.

Milo (now Jack)

July 10, 2010

We adopted Milo on June 19 of this year and could not be any more pleased.

He settled in right away.  I did call you a few days ago about his microchip.  Our vet scanned him and could not pick up anything; she suggested we go by Bedford County Animal Control who has a different type of scanner.  We did this and they could not pick up anything either.  You suggested going to the Animal Care Center in Winchester which is where he had his chip implanted.  We may do this at a...

Kramer (formerly Randy)

April 12, 2010

Wanted to let you know he's doing good. Had a hold on the rest of his heartworm treatment due to my pit needing emergency exploratory surgery that ran my bill up.
He's back on track and started the rest of treatment today. He's still terrified of my husband. He now goes out and comes back in on his own. Sometimes I have to leave the door open and walked away but he's doing better.
He wears a diaper when we're gone b/c he's a hiker but if I'm home, he'll go outside. He goes...

Chantilly Belle

July 24, 2010

Just a quick note to update you on our Chantilly Belle!  She has gone to the Vet every month (until they can figure out how much she is really going to weigh) to get her flea, tick and heart worm medication.  The first month she gained 9 pounds and last month she gained 7 which puts her to a total of 35 pounds at almost 5 months.  I think she grows taller everyday but she still thinks that she is half her size.  She is still trying to fit into the small areas like she coul...
