Franklin County Humane Society President Pat Thompson presents the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award to Glenda Horton.

Glenda Horton lives near the shelter with her husband Gary. They run a warehouse business and have a farm where they grow corn, wheat, and soybeans. She has a large German shepherd dog named Tank, a 10-year-old poodle named Peanut, and two outdoor cats.  Glenda has spent time cleaning the office, and has done a great deal of mowing of our grounds. She even uses her own mower-- since she lives right across the road she just drives it over. She usually makes a vet run once a week for us, sometimes twice, picking up pets who have just been neutered at the vet and bringing them back to the shelter.

In recognition of the enormous amount of help she has given to Animal Harbor, we present to Glenda Horton the Volunteer of Year award for 2012.
