Winter can be a tough time for our beloved pets. While their fur coats offer some protection, extreme cold can still pose serious risks. Here are some tips to keep your furry friends safe and comfortable during the chilly months:

1. Know the Limits:

* Breed Matters: Short-haired breeds, puppies, senior pets, and those with underlying health conditions are more susceptible to the cold.
* Temperature Check: Monitor the temperature regularly. If it’s below freezing, consider limiting outdoor time.

2. Provide Proper Shelter:

* Insulated Housing: Ensure your pet has access to a well-insulated shelter that is raised off the ground and protected from wind and snow.
* Warm Bedding: Provide plenty of clean, dry bedding like blankets, straw, or pet-specific beds.
