Volunteers must be 17 years of age to volunteer alone, if under the age of 17, a guardian must occupy and supervise the minor.

• Volunteer must first complete the volunteer inquiry form and go through an orientation to be approved to volunteer.

• Volunteer must schedule volunteer time with the volunteer coordinator who can be contacted at volunteercoordinator@animalharbor.org.

• If volunteer is volunteering solely for community service hours, they must contact the volunteer coordinator or shelter manager at least four weeks in advance to assure they can be fit onto the schedule.

• Volunteers must respect the shelter policies and follow all safety precautions and directions given by the staff.
